round fundraising programs
Hello!
Thank you for checking out Black Diamond Elementary's PTA Page. We are looking forward to an amazing 2019-2020 school year.
Every year the PTA’s mission is to support our school, staff, children and community by providing programs, supplies and funding. To meet this goal we host several fundraisers throughout the year. This year we will participate in our two biggest fundraisers which will be the fall Read-A-Thon and Spring Carnival. We will also be bringing back the spring plant sale and See's Candy Fundraiser after receiving great reviews from the participants (in addition to a beautiful winter wreath sale!). The money from these fundraisers helps support programs such as Rich Reading, Yearbook Club, Mileage Club and so much more. We have more family events planned this year including a Halloween Skate Night, Holiday Family Fun Night, Muffins for Moms and Donuts for Dudes. We will continue to support our teacher’s through staff appreciation and grant requests (requests to supply their classroom with new supplies or experiences) and we’ll continue on with our community outreach through events such as the Community Thanksgiving Dinner, Holiday Craft Bazaar and Backpack Program. For a list of all our events please check out our calendar. We hope you will join us!
In order to put on these fundraisers and events we rely on the time and talent of volunteers. Every membership, every minute volunteered, every talent shared makes a huge difference in how much support the PTA can give to its school and community. Please read on to learn how you could help.
Become a member. You can support the PTA by becoming a member for just $10. Being a member of the PTA gives you a voice in your child’s education and helps you stay connected. An added bonus to becoming a member is that you can receive discounts from companies such as Great Wolf Lodge, Silverwood Theme Park, Fed Ex and more. That’s a lot of perks for just $10! You can find a copy of our membership form under the about us tabs and then forms.
Volunteer. A lot of people think that because they can’t attend meetings or can’t contribute a lot of time that they can’t help. We have all kind of jobs that can be done though. Some jobs can be done from home, some take just an hour of time and some are larger positions like event chairs. No matter how much time you can contribute it is appreciated beyond measure. If you’re interested in helping please contact us through the contact tab and we’d be happy to pair you up with a position that works best with your schedule and talents.
Attend a meeting. We’ve scheduled our meetings so they alternate between early afternoon and evenings to try to accommodate as many schedules as possible. Meetings last about one hour and will give you a great insight into what’s currently happening in the school, hear from the principal, connect with teachers and meet other parents at the school. If you have questions about a meeting or feel nervous to attend on your own please message one of our board members and we would be happy to save you a seat and introduce you to some of the other members. Free childcare is always available.
We on the board truly hope that we will have the opportunity to see you this year. If at any time you have a question, concern or idea please let us know.
